LE FETTUCCE

those cotton bands or ribbons (if you have a more precise english word please let me know) are given a special meaning by many women to do folk magic works. The way they were bought was also part of the ritual. They are still commonly used especially in the south of Italy.
A “cousin” practice of the Witches ladder of Britain.
Obviously the colors themselves have a purpose too.
I try to explain to a larger public some folk practices of Italy. Hope you enjoy.

Fettuccinis are the pasta equivalent 🙂

Have a good day…
